Good evening everyone! Thought I'd experiment a bit with the club's journal layout. :3 Hope it appears as good as I think it is. Of course if there are any concerns it can always be removed.

I believe we should try to recruit more members! Or perhaps have the club listed at a club listing such as The-Anime-Manga-List so the members can come to us! What would you all suggest?

Information -

Grave of the Fireflies is a motion picture production of Studio Ghilbi taking place in Japan near the end of World War 2. Seita and Setsuko are brother and sister whose mother was badly injured and later killed from an air raid by the US. They are then required to temporarily resign with their greedy aunt, and after arguing with her leave the city to make their own home in an abandoned shelter. Their only entertainment is the light of the fireflies as well as each other as they struggle to keep themselves well protected and fed. Seita must result to stealing their necessities if they are to survive, until both later succumb to hunger and illness.

If you'd like to submit one of your works to the club, either fan art, fan fiction, or etc, please send a note to the club with the link to your deviation and it will be added to the club gallery as soon as possible. Also, please make sure that the item you are submitting is your own work, nothing stolen, edited, or copied.

About the movie:

This movie is about Seita (fourteen) and Setsuko (four), and how they tried to survive in Japan during World War 2. It's a beautiful and moving anime, and everyone I know who's seen it has cried during the movie (and loved it).

The avatar I made for GOTF is really pathetic So the theme for the first contest is to make a new, much better avatar for the GOTF club! (we also need a club ID )

Rules:

There are none! Submit as many times as you like, and do whatever you want... well, it does have to do with GOTF obviously. But other than that, you're free to do anything.

Voting:

Voting will take place on December 11th. Exactly one month from today. You can even vote on your own entry if you want. The day might change depending on how many entries there are.

The prize:
